You may think that saying NO! NO! NO! to your dog is a simple task.  It is not.  There is a certain way to say NO when correcting your furry pack member, family member & companion.

Let me start by describing the energy most people have while delivering their “NO” command.   Most people are frustrated and / or angry.

Even if you deliver your first NO with calm energy, chances are you are really angry by the seventh “NO”.  What you have to keep in mind is that the dog is not always testing you.  He is not always testing his limits.  He is not trying to piss you off.

Don’t get me wrong.  Sometimes the dog is trying to test you.  Regardless, there is a proper way to say NO!!

The intent behind your NO must resonate that the behavior MUST stop.  You are not angry about it but rules are rules.

I’ll give you an analogy.  Imagine if you were a drug addict for the last 10 years.  Then, you have a baby.  While alone in a room, you look in a mirror and realize it must stop.

You say “that’s it” to yourself in the mirror.  You say it in a way that is meaningful but not angry or frustrated.  You are simply over it!

The only thing that you are not simply over is this supernal collection of funny doggy t shirts!!
